Gary Bettman had an update on the sale Monday night, not Nolan Ryan Jersey announcing a deal to sell the team to Greg Jamison, just that they have identified him as the buyer they are working toward getting a deal.The negotiations have been going on for some time, so they are clearly happy with the progre s that is being made. If they weren't, it's doubtful you'd see such an update. All sides seem to like what they're hearing at this point.That includes the city of Glendale, which has been forking over a lot of money to the NHL the past few seasons. And any deal with Jamison will require the city J.R. Richard Jersey to continue to fork over cash. A lot of cash. Yet the city council seems to Carlos Lee Jersey be onboard with any such agreement. Everybody but one longtime councilor, that is. .For a city , that's an awfully expensive tab to be on the hook for.Always lurking in the background of a deal in Phoenix is the Goldwater Institute. It won't talk much about the deal right now, but you have to wonder if that kind of money being doled out by the city will pique their interest. Or their ire. Bettman and Jamison said on Monday that they are doing their best to work a deal that avoids any problems with Goldwater.For what it's worth, Goldwater hasn't taken umbrage with the Roy Oswalt Jersey city's payments to the NHL to cover operating costs, so you can draw your own conclusions there.
